The vineyard is located on the Minervois appellation, at the foot of the Montagne Noire and the Saint Jean de Minervois plateau, in the little commune of Agel, which lies within the “Parc naturel regional du Haut Languedoc”|
Vinification This very rare cuvee (under 2’000 bottles produced) was made the first time in 2008.
Hand harvest at phenolic maturity with a severe selection in the vineyards.
Produced by « Vinification intégrale », meaning vinification in 400 litre barriques of French oak with a vatting time of 60 to 70 days. Barrel ageing in 1 year old barriques during 12 months. The wine is bottled one year before first sales.
Terroir Soil type and climate:
This cuvée comes from two specially selected vineyards, situated on the fabulous terroir de Cazelles, which is composed of hard and soft limestone splitters.
Classic Mediterranean climate characterised by a mild winter and a warm, dry summer.

Cordon de Royat pruning.
Very low yield of 15 to 20 hl/ha
Brilliant colour, deep purple-red. Very intensive, complex and open nose, with aromas of black cherry, vanilla, toasted bread, fresh fig, prune and coffee. Concentrated, voluminous body, smooth, elegant and well balanced, with ripe, integrated tannins and impressive aromas. In the long lasting finish pleasant aromas of red and black fruit and toasted almonds.
